2008-2021
I have around 12 years of experience with volunteer work. It has given me knowledge within the fields of: social work, fundraising, research, communication, organizing and planning. Below is a short overview of the volunteer work I have done.
As of March of 2021 I founded an organization for recent university graduates in Denmark, as we face a particularly hard time becoming a part of the Danish labour market. My co-founders are Charlotte Bengstrøm, Stine Føns Pedersen and Mia Brøndgaard Andersen.
Currently, I am volunteering with Everyday Sexism Project Denmark and the human rights department of Tora the Thinktank.
After university I took a gapyear, where I worked with children’s and women’s rights at Quinta Carmelita and Fundación Diarq in Mexico City.
When I was studying I worked as a tutor for refugees, chaired the local association of ICYE, represented the students (during the 1st semester). I was also a buddy for international students, a boardmember at my dormitory and responsible for the party comittee there.
After high school I took a gap year, where I continued the volunteer work I was doing during high school (see below) and additionally volunteered at an orphanage in Bolivia.
In high school I was the student council president and active in a political party (chairperson of the local association). I volunteered to support lonely young people, bartendered at local concerts and a fundraiser (door to door) for the Danish Refugee Council.
